This is just a quick update on the status of the new sim date game. At this point, to say that it's nearing completion would probably get you thinking that it will be done in a few weeks. I really can't say for sure whether it will be completed in the next few weeks, or if it will be longer because although about 90% of the game is completed, there is still a tremendous amount of work to do still for the game, and considering how long it has taken so far, I cannot describe our timescale in any accurate manner without risking misleading you guys. Please be patient. We're doing the best we can given the fact that this is an entirely non-profit, extracurricular project.

I've finally fixed that problem everyone's been having with registering a new account on the Twinkle Revue Forum at my web site. I still have no idea why it was acting the way it was, but I went ahead and deleted the error function associated with it, so it's kind of a patch-up job, but it's better than re-installing the whole forum.
Anyway, on another note, the new game's about 85% complete. We are currently working on finishing the dates for each girl, and we still need to finish the endings, but other than that, it's pretty much a functional game right now. I know it's been a long time, but my schoolwork is really getting me bogged down this semester. Thanksgiving break was badly needed, but was still packed with things to do, so I'm hoping Christmas break will give me enough time to finally finish the game. Thanks for your patience, everyone.

Ok, I need to announce to everyone that the project has officially become an unhealthy obsession of mine, and I just need to back off for a while and try to put my life back together, so I'll let you know plenty of time before it's released, but don't hold your breath.

There has recently come to my attention, some sort of bug in my forum registration code at my website, so if you're trying to register, then sorry, you can't right now. I'd fix it, but I'm really trying to get my game completed as soon as possible instead. Hope you guys understand, and thanks for your patience.

It was previously mentioned that it might be available by labor day, but that's definitely not gonna happen. I'm thinking more like the 17th or so, but if we're really lucky and everything goes well, we may have it up as early as the tenth. I will up an announcement a few days before it comes out so everyone can keep their eyes open for it, and a week or so before that, I will reveal which anime we chose for the project.
The reason this one's taking so long is twofold:
First of all, many will be glad to hear that this will have all original art content, that is, nothing has been copied. It's all drawn and colored by Vortex or me.
Second of all, I'm trying some new ideas in this game, which will hopefully give it a more interactive and interesting environment than my previous game. The space will be much larger and more complex in this game.
Anyway, I better get back to work for now, but look for another update in a week or so.

I'm currently working on a new dating sim with a team I put together, and it should be out by around Labor Day (tentatively). I've never worked with a team before, but they both seem to be really good at what they do (writing and illustration), so I'm really excited about the project. I can't give any specific details about it yet, but there are a few tidbits about it on my website, in the Twinkle Revue forum under the thread "New Dating Sim".
